We Volunteered With Love The Hungry During The Mayor’s Week Of Service

The Mayor’s Give a Day Week of Service is a Louisville volunteer event that takes place each spring with a focus on making the city healthier, more compassionate, and a place of lifelong learning.

To celebrate 2019’s week of service, we sent teams to Love the Hungry, a local charity organization that’s dedicated to feeding hungry children worldwide. Our team spent the day packaging meals to be shipped across the globe. Since the organization was founded in 2012, Love the Hungry has produced more than six million meals with the help of 35,000 volunteers of all ages. 10 percent of those meals have gone to hungry children in the Kentuckiana area.

This year’s week of service brought out more than 235,000 volunteers and acts of compassion throughout the region, breaking last year’s record. In addition to preparing meals, volunteers worked to clean up streets and parks, collected goods for people in need, repaired homes, read to students, mentored others, assembled care packages, and much more.

We love giving back to our community at Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers, and that includes helping people who are hurt and need an advocate on their side. If you or someone you love was injured because of someone else’s negligence, our Louisville lawyers want to speak with you. Contact us today for a free consultation.
