Sam believes deeply that being a good attorney and being a good neighbor are the same thing. Through the firm’s “Sam Cares” initiative, he and his team direct over $500,000 annually toward charitable giving and volunteerism across Kentucky.
That has included delivering 7,000 pounds of flood relief supplies to Eastern Kentucky, mobilizing both offices to provide Christmas gifts for 60 children at Chrysalis House in Lexington, partnering with U of L Athletics to feed 1,000 families at Thanksgiving, surprising families with school supplies and concert tickets, and launching a statewide mental health billboard campaign that generated over 1,000 thank-you messages from Kentuckians.

Beyond the courtroom, Sam is a devoted husband and father.
He and his wife, Janelle, share a passion for rescue animals, thoroughbred racing, and philanthropy.
