2024 Community Giving Recap

Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers puts a portion of what it earns from client cases back into the Louisville and Lexington communities those clients live in. In 2024, that giving reached holiday meal programs, children’s events, more than 30 organizations, and hundreds of individual families.

Sam Cares Community Giving Program

The Sam Cares program is the firm’s community giving initiative, funded by contingency fee earnings from personal injury cases. Every case the firm takes, from car accidents to truck crashes to slip-and-fall injuries, runs on a contingency fee that never increases, even if the case goes to litigation or trial. Louisville and Lexington are home to the firm’s attorneys and staff, who raise their families and cheer for the Cards here.

Holiday Meals

The firm distributed more than 1,500 turkeys and meal baskets throughout 2024, in partnership with the University of Louisville Athletics Department, the Breonna Taylor Foundation, Until Freedom, and Turkey Trot. The holiday food program has grown every year.

Beyond the Thanksgiving push, the firm ran meal and event sponsorships for local YMCAs, Future Healers, West End families, and local athletics programs.

Annual Trunk or Treat

The firm’s annual Trunk or Treat brought together hundreds of local children for a safe Halloween celebration. Events like this one reach families in neighborhoods where traditional trick-or-treating is not always accessible.

Children and Family Programs

In 2024, the firm gave away 10 Taylor Swift tickets to community members and distributed hundreds of Christmas gift cards through Future Healers and Game Changers, reaching kids ages 5 to 17.

In partnership with UofL Athletics, the firm also sent 2,500 fans to the University of Louisville vs. Virginia men’s basketball game, free of charge. That night, the KFC Yum Center hit its highest attendance since 2021.

110 WWE SmackDown Tickets

The firm gave away more than 110 tickets to WWE SmackDown at the KFC Yum Center so local families could attend a live event they might not otherwise afford. Winners picked up their tickets and WWE merchandise at the firm’s office. The WWE SmackDown giveaway recap has the full story.

Lunch Deliveries for Teachers and First Responders

Throughout 2024, the firm organized surprise lunch deliveries to local school teachers, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and hospital and clinic workers.

$500,000 Annual Giving Goal

Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers has set its annual giving goal at $500,000. The goal covers direct donations to nonprofits, ticket giveaways, food drives, school sponsorships, and direct support for individuals and families in Louisville and Lexington. More about the firm is on the About Us page.
