On May 20, 2026, our team spent the day at Dare to Care Food Bank in Louisville. We packed more than 700 meals. The firm also gave $2,000, which funds about 4,000 more meals through the Dare to Care network. This is part of our ongoing Sam Cares work in Louisville and Lexington.

A Day in the Community Kitchen

The Community Kitchen is where Dare to Care makes its meals every day. The food goes to kids in after-school programs and seniors across 13 counties in Kentucky and southern Indiana.

We prepped ingredients. We packed single-serve meals. We staged food for delivery that same afternoon. The chef running our line kept a count for everything. Meals per tray. Trays per shift. How many sites got food before dinner. Hundreds of kids ate that night because of one production line.

$2,000 Turns Into 4,000 Meals

A check on its own is just a check. Run it through a food bank and the math changes. Dare to Care buys in bulk, rescues food that would otherwise be thrown out, and moves it with their own trucks. Every dollar provides two meals, so a $2,000 gift turns into about 4,000 meals.

Small gifts add up fast. That is the part most people miss.

Dare to Care’s Reach

Every dollar given to Dare to Care turns into about two meals. That math runs across 13 counties in Kentucky and southern Indiana:

  • $2,000 from Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers funds about 4,000 meals
  • 700+ meals packed by our team in a single afternoon at the Community Kitchen
  • 2,000+ people fed each day during summer months when school meals stop

Hunger Is Real Here

One in five kids in Kentuckiana does not always have enough to eat. One in seven adults are in the same spot. When school lets out for summer, the school meals stop. Dare to Care feeds more than 2,000 people a day during those months.

These are our neighbors. They live in the same Louisville and Lexington neighborhoods our car accident clients come from. So we show up.

How You Can Help

Three ways, all easy:

  • Give. A gift at the Dare to Care donation page feeds two people per dollar.
  • Volunteer. A group of six to ten can pack hundreds of meals in one afternoon.
  • Run a drive at work. A dollar from every worker at a mid-size Louisville business feeds hundreds of families.

If your company runs a drive, we want to hear about it.

Our Firm Shows Up

Giving back is built into how we run. Our clients are Kentucky families, and so are the people Dare to Care feeds. There is no daylight between the two.
