Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers Donates $5,000 to Norton Sports & Learning Center

Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers presented a $5,000 donation to the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center during halftime of the University of Louisville men’s basketball game against Stanford on March 8, 2025. The gift is part of the firm’s Sam Cares community program.

Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center Campus

The Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center is a major community development project in Louisville’s West End, built on what was once an abandoned brownfield. The center draws athletes, families, and visitors from across the country.

The facility is a project of the Louisville Urban League and a cornerstone of its mission: eliminating racial disparities, expanding economic opportunity, and improving lives in the city’s historically underserved West End communities.

• One of only eight banked indoor tracks in the United States, capable of hosting national and international track and field competitions
• A 24-acre campus built for local, regional, and national athletic events across multiple disciplines
• A family fun zone with mini-bowling, a rock-climbing wall, and programming for all ages
• Educational and wellness programming for Louisville’s West End neighborhoods

Halftime Presentation With Sadiqa Reynolds

The firm shared the midcourt presentation with Sadiqa Reynolds, who drove the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center from concept to reality. Reynolds is the former president of the Louisville Urban League and current CEO of the Perception Institute, and she became the first African American woman to clerk for the Kentucky Supreme Court. She has dedicated her career to equity, opportunity, and transformational change in Louisville.

University of Louisville Athletics Corporate Partnership

Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers is a corporate partner of the University of Louisville Athletics Department, and the partnership funds community programs. Through it, the firm has:

• Sent 2,222 fans to the Louisville vs. Virginia game free of charge, the night the KFC Yum Center hit its highest attendance since 2021
• Provided Thanksgiving meals to nearly 1,000 individuals in 2024 and 2025 with UofL Athletics, distributing close to 200 turkeys and meal baskets each year
• Presented the $5,000 donation to the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center on behalf of the Louisville community
