Bellarmine Women’s Basketball NIL Support

Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers is committing $10,000 in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) support to the Bellarmine University Women’s Basketball program for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. The commitment is part of the firm’s Sam Cares community program.

$10,000 Commitment for the 2026 and 2027 Seasons

The commitment covers two seasons and follows a conversation with head coach Monique Reid and several players about the program’s goals and where it is headed.

Coach Monique Reid’s Louisville Background

Monique Reid is a Louisville native, a University of Louisville Athletics Hall of Famer, and one of the most decorated professional players to come out of Kentucky. She played a decade overseas, winning championships and scoring titles across ten countries, before returning to Louisville and joining the Bellarmine staff. Bellarmine named her head coach in April 2025.

Division I-Era Program Records

The program set new Division I-era records last season, including 18 wins, its first-ever ASUN Tournament victory, and a six-game winning streak. Women’s sports are growing quickly in Louisville, and this commitment puts money directly behind that growth.

Name, Image, and Likeness Support and Ticket Giveaways

NIL support puts money behind student-athletes while they compete and earn their degrees. Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers will be in the stands this season and will run game ticket giveaways so the community can come out and support the Knights throughout the year. The firm’s other recent education and community gifts include a $150,000 scholarship for first-generation Brandeis Law students and 700 meals packed at Dare to Care.
